It’s Just The Beginning
It’s been a little over two weeks since Mr. Trump has taken office and the country I love is being dismantled right in front of my eyes. The truth is this election was NEVER really about pronouns, illegal immigration, saying Merry Christmas or the Gulf of Mexico. It’s been based on lies.
Lies? Yep. It’s all been based on a power grab from the right.
Period.
What I’m writing has nothing to do with the people that voted for him, nor am I angry with them. The truth is, you’ve been duped. I know it, most everyone knows it and I think you might know it too. However, if you are all for what is happening right now, I have some questions for you.
Firings
With all the firings at the FAA, USDA, FDA EPA, EEOC, DEI and other agencies that keep out food, water, environment, drugs, workplace, etc. safe. How do you think this will affect those industries? What kind of impact will these moves make? Will our food be safe? Our water? Our prescriptions? Our nation’s sky for travel? Will our workplace be safe from harassment, bias, and prejudice? Will we be informed of the next big outbreak of an infectious disease?
If you voted for 47, do you feel safe, getting into a plane right now?
With more vindictive firings of independent inspector generals, federal prosecutors, members of the national security council, diplomats, foreign aid, and the dept. of diversity, equity, and inclusion. I have a question; how do these firings make America great? Or is this just a way to force unqualified Trump loyalists who will never question him and follow him blindly into those jobs to do EXACTLY what he wants? So, what exactly does he want? Anyone?
Power, Full Control, and Our Money.
Tariffs
This past Saturday, Mr. Trump declared an unnecessary and incredibly stupid tariff war on our friends in Canada and Mexico. So, anything that WE consume that comes from Canada or Mexico will cost the average American more. Hoever, Mr. Trump says it’s a way to stop fentanyl, illegal border crossings and a better trade deal (I suppose). So, in the end, produce will be higher, food products, car parts too, alcohol, flowers, steel, beef, automobiles, musical instruments, and so on … Then he’s going to do the same to the EU.
Now, (of course) these tariffs have been paused for 30 days until he creates another crisis to distract us.
Okay, I’ll ask again, how does the implementation of tarriffs help the average American? Frankly, from where I’m sitting, they’re going to hurt everyone, and the Canadians are going to take aim at RED states. So, Canada began removing all American wine, beer, and spirts off their shelves. So, that little brewery that makes craft beer in town that expanded and is now selling their beer internationally just lost a massive portion of their business. It’s going to hurt the family-owned southern producer of bourbon, the peanut grower, the small businessman, farmers and so on.
Distrations then Destruction
So, what will the stock market do? Frankly, I have an awful feeling it’s going to be a shitshow for a while and this dirtbag will manipulate the markets for as long as he wants. Why? Because this administration will distract the American public with made up crisis after crisis, then Mr. Trump will “fix” the problem while he and his Fascist goons dismantle the rest of the government and our way of life.
Hey, but Mr. Trump says we need to suffer to get the job done. So, what is the job? Is it really to stop illicit drugs and illegal immigration? Or is it to bring the Canadian economy to its knees so they will be forcibly annexed to the United States? With all of his talk, it could be a possibility. Who knows? Do you? What about our Danish friends? Will Mr. Trump try to take Greenland by force? Or The Panama Canal? Is this what Americans really want?
If your answer is yes, why? Give me one good reason… and what about NATO?
Elon Musk
Now, it’s been reported that Elon Musk and his lackeys have taken over the Office of Personal Management. What is the OPM? It’s the agency the pays our nation’s bills for more than $5 trillion annually, including managing Social Security checks and tax refunds. Which means the system that includes the sensitive personal information on tens of millions of Americans. A Sunday headline from New York Magazine, “Elon Musk May Have Your Social Security Number,” is not an exaggeration. Oh, by the way, if The Office of Personal Management, defaults on what we owe around the world, any non-payment would be catastrophic.

Because of all of this shit, I have genuine concerns about my private information, social security, Medicare and 401k. Do you? If you don’t, you should. I also use the ACA for my health insurance until I turn 65 and enroll in Medicare. My fear is, if they mess with the ACA, I may not have health insurance and if I do, can I still afford it?
If so, it will be the first time (EVER) that I won’t have health insurance.
Education
Now, shit for brains is dismantling the Department of Education. What does this mean? One word. Indoctrination. Everything we learned about from slavery, to the genocide of Native Americans, will disappear and a state-run program will be in place. Same with our news. I have a terrible feeling that all independent news sources will be silenced, and state-run approved news will be forced into its place.
What is the End Game?
So, what is the endgame? Does anyone know? I surely don’t, but I have a sinking feeling it’s going to be awful. I’ll ask again, is this the way to make America great? I also see that any type of protest (peaceful or otherwise) will be met with force, and arrests, and if the protesting becomes more frequent, I see this dictator call for martial law.
Then all hell will break loose.
With all that being said, the good news is, we can rest easy knowing the most crucial issues—Pronouns, the Gulf of Mexico’s name, and saying Merry Christmas—are resolved.
